Playa de San Juan is one of the most beautiful and best-known beaches on the Costa Blanca. Stretching for several kilometres, it offers fine golden sand, crystal-clear water and plenty of space to relax. It can be reached easily from our holiday apartment by car, tram or bus and is the perfect destination for a full day at the beach.

Why Playa de San Juan is so popular

Unlike the city beach of Postiguet, Playa de San Juan offers a much larger stretch of coastline with a relaxed atmosphere. It is particularly popular with families, sports enthusiasts and anyone looking for a spacious beach with excellent facilities.

If possible, visit the beach outside the busiest midday hours. In the morning and late afternoon the atmosphere is particularly relaxed, and the light is perfect for a long walk along the shoreline.

Why Postiguet Beach is so popular

The beach is located directly below Santa Bárbara Castle and combines relaxation with the vibrant atmosphere of Alicante’s Old Town. Restaurants, cafés and ice cream parlours line the promenade and invite you to take a break while enjoying beautiful sea views.
